Legal, Returns, Shipping, Warranty & Safety Policy

Welcome to True Rise Lifts. This page explains important terms that apply when purchasing automotive lifts, shop equipment, accessories, parts, and related products from True Rise Lifts.

Automotive lifts and shop equipment are heavy-duty products that must be selected, shipped, received, installed, inspected, maintained, and operated correctly. By requesting a quote, placing an order, accepting delivery, installing equipment, or using equipment purchased through True Rise Lifts, you agree to the terms below.

These terms are intended to protect both the customer and True Rise Lifts by making expectations clear before an order moves forward.

I have read and agree to the Terms, Returns, Shipping, Warranty & Safety Policy. I understand automotive lifts require proper site verification, delivery inspection, installation, inspection, maintenance, and safe operation.

Section 1

Important Safety Notice

Automotive lifts are potentially dangerous pieces of equipment if they are selected, installed, maintained, or operated incorrectly.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is installed, inspected, maintained, and operated according to:

  • The manufacturer's instructions
  • All warning labels and safety materials
  • Applicable local, state, and federal laws
  • Applicable building, electrical, concrete, anchoring, and workplace safety requirements
  • Industry safety standards and best practices
  • The requirements of the property owner, employer, insurance carrier, and local authority having jurisdiction

Never operate a lift without proper training. Never exceed rated capacity. Never modify a lift, disable locks, bypass safety systems, use damaged parts, or operate equipment that has not been properly installed and inspected.

True Rise Lifts does not replace the manufacturer, installer, engineer, inspector, electrician, concrete professional, or safety authority.

Section 2

Fitment, Compatibility & Site Responsibility

True Rise Lifts may help customers review lift options based on information provided by the customer, including vehicle type, ceiling height, bay size, concrete thickness, power availability, use case, and delivery location.

This guidance is provided as customer support only. It is not engineering advice, structural approval, code approval, installation approval, or a guarantee that a product is suitable for every condition at the customer's site.

The customer is responsible for confirming all site conditions before ordering, including but not limited to:

  • Ceiling height and obstructions
  • Bay width and depth
  • Floor slope and drainage
  • Concrete thickness, condition, strength, reinforcement, and age
  • Anchoring requirements
  • Electrical service and circuit requirements
  • Door clearance and vehicle approach space
  • Delivery access, unloading ability, forklift availability, and freight restrictions
  • Local code, permit, inspection, and insurance requirements

If there is any question about concrete, structure, installation, electrical work, or site conditions, the customer should consult a qualified installer, licensed contractor, structural engineer, electrician, or local authority before ordering.

Section 3

Quotes, Pricing & Availability

Prices, freight estimates, product availability, specifications, images, descriptions, promotions, and lead times are subject to change without notice.

True Rise Lifts works to provide accurate information, but manufacturer specifications and stock status can change. An order is not final until product availability, freight, delivery details, and payment are confirmed.

Errors in pricing, descriptions, specifications, freight estimates, or availability may be corrected at any time. True Rise Lifts reserves the right to cancel or revise any quote or order affected by an error.

Section 4

Order Review Before Shipment

True Rise Lifts reviews orders before shipment whenever possible to help reduce fitment, freight, and delivery issues. This review may include confirming product selection, delivery address, freight access, unloading requirements, and known site details.

However, order review does not transfer responsibility away from the customer. The customer remains responsible for confirming that the product is appropriate for the customer's site, vehicles, use case, installation method, and legal requirements.

Section 5

Payment Terms

Payment terms are provided at the time of quote or checkout. Orders may require payment in full, deposit, or approved financing before processing.

Payments may be processed before shipment, depending on the product, manufacturer, freight provider, and order type.

Chargebacks, payment disputes, or refusal to pay after shipment may delay service, warranty assistance, future orders, or support.

Section 6

Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be made in writing as soon as possible.

Orders may not be cancellable once:

  • The product has shipped
  • Freight has been scheduled
  • The order has been processed by the manufacturer
  • The item is special order, built to order, customized, or backordered specifically for the customer
  • The customer has approved the final quote or invoice and the supplier has begun fulfillment

Approved cancellations may be subject to manufacturer cancellation fees, credit card processing fees, freight charges, storage fees, or restocking fees.

Section 7

Returns

Automotive lifts, heavy shop equipment, freight items, special-order products, electrical components, hydraulic components, replacement parts, and installed or attempted-installed items are not normal consumer retail products.

Returns are accepted only with prior written authorization from True Rise Lifts and/or the manufacturer.

A product may not be returned unless:

  • True Rise Lifts approves the return in writing before shipment back
  • The manufacturer accepts the return
  • The product is unused, uninstalled, undamaged, complete, and in original packaging
  • All parts, manuals, hardware, labels, packaging, and accessories are included
  • The customer follows all return instructions
  • The product is received and inspected by the manufacturer or return facility

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Section 8

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally non-returnable unless required by law or approved in writing:

  • Installed, assembled, altered, damaged, or used equipment
  • Products with missing parts, packaging, manuals, labels, or hardware
  • Special-order or custom-order items
  • Electrical components
  • Hydraulic components
  • Wear items
  • Replacement parts
  • Anchors, bolts, fittings, adapters, and small components
  • Items damaged due to improper handling, storage, unloading, installation, or use
  • Products returned without written authorization
  • Products damaged in return freight because of poor packaging or improper loading

Section 9

Return Freight, Fees & Refunds

Unless otherwise approved in writing, the customer is responsible for all return freight costs.

Returned products may be subject to:

  • Manufacturer restocking fees
  • Original outbound freight charges
  • Return freight charges
  • Inspection fees
  • Repackaging fees
  • Missing parts fees
  • Damage deductions
  • Credit card or financing processing fees
  • Storage or reconsignment charges

Refunds, if approved, are issued only after the returned product has been received, inspected, and accepted by the manufacturer or return facility.

Original freight charges are generally non-refundable once a product has shipped.

Section 10

Freight Delivery & Customer Receiving Responsibilities

Many products sold by True Rise Lifts ship by LTL freight, truck freight, or direct manufacturer freight. These shipments may be heavy, oversized, and require special unloading equipment.

The customer is responsible for ensuring the delivery location can safely receive the shipment.

Before delivery, the customer must confirm:

  • Correct delivery address
  • Commercial or residential delivery type
  • Liftgate needs, if available
  • Forklift or unloading equipment availability
  • Dock access, if applicable
  • Road access for large trucks
  • Appointment requirements
  • Contact phone number
  • Any access restrictions

Freight carriers generally deliver to the curb, driveway, dock, or accessible delivery point. Carriers are not responsible for moving equipment into a shop, garage, building, or final installation location unless specifically arranged in writing.

Missed deliveries, re-delivery, storage, limited access, liftgate, residential, reconsignment, detention, or special handling fees may be charged to the customer.

Section 11

Inspecting Freight Before Signing

The customer must inspect all freight before signing the delivery receipt or bill of lading.

Before signing, check for:

  • Torn packaging
  • Crushed corners
  • Bent steel
  • Broken crates
  • Missing boxes
  • Leaking hydraulic fluid
  • Visible forklift damage
  • Scratches, dents, or impact marks
  • Shortages or missing pieces

If there is any visible damage or shortage, the customer must write the damage or shortage clearly on the delivery receipt before signing.

Do not write "subject to inspection" only. Be specific.

Examples: "Crate damaged, steel column scratched and bent", "One box missing", "Hydraulic fluid visible on packaging", "Forklift puncture on side of crate".

Take photos of the damage, packaging, labels, and delivery receipt immediately.

Failure to properly inspect and document freight damage at delivery may limit or prevent freight claims, replacement parts, or reimbursement.

Section 12

Concealed Damage

Concealed damage must be reported as soon as discovered.

The customer should keep all packaging, take photos, and notify True Rise Lifts immediately. Freight carriers and manufacturers may impose strict deadlines for concealed damage claims.

True Rise Lifts will help guide the customer through the claim process, but claim approval is controlled by the freight carrier and/or manufacturer.

Section 13

Shipping Delays

Shipping timelines are estimates only. True Rise Lifts is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturers, freight carriers, weather, labor shortages, supply chain issues, incorrect customer information, missed appointments, delivery access problems, or events outside our control.

True Rise Lifts is not responsible for lost income, lost labor time, shop downtime, rental equipment, installation rescheduling fees, customer appointments, or other consequential costs caused by freight delays.

Section 14

Manufacturer Warranties

Products sold by True Rise Lifts are covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty, if any.

Warranty coverage varies by brand, product category, model, part type, and use case. Manufacturer warranties may cover certain parts for certain time periods and may exclude labor, freight, wear items, consumables, misuse, improper installation, lack of maintenance, commercial abuse, modifications, electrical issues, concrete failure, damage from improper operation, and other conditions.

True Rise Lifts does not create, extend, modify, or replace manufacturer warranties unless specifically stated in writing.

Warranty claims are subject to manufacturer approval. The manufacturer may require photos, serial numbers, proof of purchase, installation details, maintenance records, troubleshooting steps, defective part return, or other documentation.

Replacement parts may be provided according to the manufacturer's warranty process. Labor, travel, diagnostic time, installation time, downtime, freight, and incidental costs may not be covered unless specifically stated by the manufacturer.

Section 15

Installation Disclaimer

True Rise Lifts may provide general installation information, manufacturer manuals, recommendations, or referrals where available.

Unless specifically stated in a separate written agreement, True Rise Lifts does not install equipment and is not responsible for installation work performed by customers, contractors, installers, electricians, or third parties.

The customer is responsible for hiring qualified professionals and ensuring that installation complies with all manufacturer requirements, safety standards, electrical codes, building codes, concrete requirements, anchoring requirements, and local regulations.

Improper installation can result in equipment failure, vehicle damage, serious injury, or death.

Section 16

Concrete, Anchoring & Structural Conditions

Concrete and anchoring conditions are critical to lift safety.

The customer is responsible for confirming that the concrete slab and structure meet or exceed all manufacturer requirements before installation. This may require professional inspection, testing, engineering review, or replacement of inadequate concrete.

True Rise Lifts is not responsible for:

  • Cracked, thin, weak, deteriorated, post-tensioned, or unknown concrete
  • Incorrect anchors
  • Incorrect drilling
  • Improper torque
  • Poor floor condition
  • Slab failure
  • Pullout failure
  • Installation on unsuitable surfaces
  • Damage caused by anchoring or concrete problems

If the customer is unsure about the slab or structure, the customer should consult a qualified professional before ordering or installing.

Section 17

Use, Inspection & Maintenance

The customer is responsible for safe use, routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of all equipment.

Automotive lifts should be inspected and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions and applicable safety standards. Operators should inspect lifts before use and should not use equipment with damaged, missing, altered, or malfunctioning parts.

Do not operate a lift if there are signs of damage, abnormal noise, hydraulic leaks, lock failure, arm restraint issues, cable wear, chain wear, loose anchors, electrical problems, uneven lifting, or any unsafe condition.

Section 18

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, True Rise Lifts shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic damages, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury
  • Vehicle damage
  • Property damage
  • Lost profits
  • Lost revenue
  • Shop downtime
  • Lost labor
  • Missed appointments
  • Rental equipment
  • Installation delays
  • Freight delays
  • Removal or reinstallation costs
  • Concrete repair
  • Electrical work
  • Third-party labor
  • Business interruption

True Rise Lifts' total liability for any claim related to a product, order, shipment, return, warranty, or service shall not exceed the amount paid to True Rise Lifts for the specific product giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by law.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply.

Section 19

Customer Indemnification

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless True Rise Lifts, its owners, employees, agents, contractors, suppliers, and partners from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Improper product selection
  • Incorrect site information
  • Freight receiving errors
  • Improper unloading or handling
  • Improper installation
  • Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
  • Unsafe operation
  • Lack of inspection or maintenance
  • Modification or misuse of equipment
  • Use by untrained operators
  • Violation of laws, codes, or safety requirements
  • Third-party installer, contractor, or employee actions

Section 20

Product images, diagrams, videos, descriptions, dimensions, and specifications are provided for general informational purposes.

Manufacturers may update products without notice. Colors, labels, accessories, included components, dimensions, and features may vary by model, production run, package, or manufacturer revision.

Customers should confirm all critical specifications before ordering.
